The 1st of August 2026 was a big day for Sleemo and their fans. It was the day that The Waterfront Studio in Norwich housed their warm up show for the upcoming Arctangent Festival, which is an amazing achievement in itself, but also it was the band’s comeback show.

After announcing a hiatus a few months back, the guys couldn’t stay away for long and seeing them get back on that stage, entertaining a hometown audience and bringing their known sound blasting out once again.

With Billy Utting on guitar, Jack Andrews on bass and Jacob Brooks holding down that beat with the drums, the room was vibrating with excitement to see these three guys back on stage.

Support Sleemo on the night were bands Narcolepsy and Eat Your Own Head, both sharing the same Norwich based record label, Drongo Records, as Sleemo. The atmosphere of the room gave a familiar and happy vibe as people greeted each other, as if it was a big family and friend reunion.

The guys from Sleemo stepped up on stage and the room erupted with cheers, the crowd ecstatic for what was to come. The set was filled with well knows songs from their 2023 album “Call To The Void” like “Doppelganger”, then switching things up with songs from their 2025 EP release “The End” and letting “Death In Vain” blast through the venue speakers.

The crowd were moving in unison as the set progressed, with hard songs making a pit open up and bodies jumping and dancing to the grunge sound. The whole room enjoying having Sleemo loud and live again.

The whole night produced an amazing energy, felt through the music, the smiles and the dancing that was happening. The lads from Sleemo looked absolutely buzzing as they came off stage, with another successful show under their belt.

With a set at a sell out Arctangent Festival in the next few weeks, these guys are back and ready to take on anything that is thrown at them.
