Kentish Town Forum was already packed and restless by the time Jinjer hit the stage, and within seconds the whole room tipped into chaos in the best possible way. The first breakdown landed and circle pits opened almost instantly, with crowd surfers appearing one after another for the rest of the night. London crowds never need much encouragement, but Jinjer gave them every reason to go all in.

Tatiana Shmayluk held the room effortlessly from the moment she stepped out. Wearing a flowy pink dress pulled in with a corset, the contrast between her outfit and the sheer force of her vocals made it impossible to look away. One moment she was delivering clean, melodic lines, the next unleashing those brutal growls that hit straight in the chest. Between songs she was warm and playful, clearly enjoying the back-and-forth with the crowd as much as they were.

Behind her, the band were locked in tight, moving through complex rhythms and sudden shifts without losing any energy. Jinjer’s songs demand attention live, heavy grooves, technical twists and huge choruses that the crowd shouted straight back at them. Each time the tempo kicked up, the pit spun back into life, and security barely had time to reset before the next wave of surfers came over the barrier.

What really stood out was how connected everything felt. Fans screamed every word, pits opened on command, and the whole venue moved together through the heavier moments and the quieter ones in between. Jinjer know exactly how to work a room, pushing the energy when needed and letting the crowd catch their breath just long enough before diving back in.

By the end, everyone looked equally wrecked and buzzing. Sweaty, hoarse and grinning as they spilled back out into Camden. Jinjer gigs always leave a mark, and judging by the conversations on the way out, this one’s going to stick with people for a while.
