The Punk Rock Factory started out in 2014, joined together with their love of music and playing instruments. A band that is devoted to entertaining. What came from that is a fun packed group, full of laughter, craziness and well known songs, covered in a unique punk style.

Norwich was a stop on the band’s very recent UK tour, along with support from The Bottom Line. It was a night guaranteed to put a smile on everyone’s face. Firstly, there was a well known musician in the building, spinning hits from the 2000’s alternative era. Sean Smith, podcaster and vocalist for the band “The Blackout”, kept the crowd singing and dancing in between sets as he blasted out the familiar sounds of My Chemical Romance, Pierce The Veil and Good Charlotte, amongst many others.

The Bottom Line did an amazing job at warming up the crowd also, with their pop punk hits, that got everyone in the mood for a party. At one point, there was a mini circle pit formed around guitarists Cal and Tom. Cal even took it upon himself to crowd surf at the end of their set.

9:30pm hits and Punk Rock Factory come out on stage to cheers and applause. Everyone is amped up to 100 for this show as Peej Edwards, Benj Allison and Ryan Steadman slip on their guitars and Andrew Robinson jumps behind his drum kit. The guys hit it off with “Livin La Vida Loca”, “Shiny” and “Mamma Mia”, which definitely has every single person in the party mood.

Next, came a little Disney section, with “You’re Welcome”, “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” and “Surface Pressure”. The crowd bouncing and singing along to the covers as the band jumped around on stage.

The band bring out a huge floor ‘Connect 4’ game and play along with two audience members, plucked from the crowd, making the cheers within the venue rise even louder than they had been. Afterwards, a mini set of childhood tunes, theme songs and cartoon intros are played, with the likes of “Pokémon”, “Thundercats”, “Power Rangers” and Animanics” keeping the smiles on everyone’s faces.

As the end of the night came to a close, Punk Rock Factory finished on two classics, “How Far I’ll Go” and the finale “Let It Go”. Even Else turned up to enjoy the atmosphere as a fan was fully dressed in the Frozen character costume.

Overall, the night was an absolute success. Faces ached as they left the building due to smiling. A wonderful experience to see, and hear, a whole crowd singing at the top of their voices. People of all ages, enjoying every single song that was performed. Punk Rock Factory are not just a covers band, they are a whole entertainment experience.
