On 1st December 2025, the wind blew outside, but inside, the energy of Lambrini Girls shook the floorboards at The Waterfront — a night of raw punk energy, happiness and community that will long linger in the memories of everyone who was there. This wasn’t simply another date on the calendar: it was the UK-punk duo’s first visit to Norwich on their winter headline tour supporting their debut album Who Let The Dogs Out.

Lambrini Girls, Phoebe Lunny and Selin Macieira-Boşgelmez, have carved out a reputation for being unapologetically political — a raw fusion of punk aggression and activism, turning anger into art. On this night, that reputation held firm. Fans arrived primed for intensity, and the band responded in waves. The trademark rage, confrontation and catharsis that mark their live show, found itself at home in Norwich.

Shelf Lives opened the show and amped up the crown with their electronic punk sound. By the time Lambrini Girls hit the stage, the atmosphere was intense. The band, starting the night off with “Bad Apple”, their opening track to their newest album, you knew it was going to be a good night

The energy on stage translated into pure chaos below. By the second song, “Company Culture”, Phoebe had open up the crowd. Mosh-pit after mosh-pit, walls of noise crashing into each other — bodies collided in an odd kind of communion, united by distortion riffs, pounding drums, and shouted defiance.

Running through the setlist, the band showed Norwich that their music and movement were definitely a live experience to remember. Phoebe spent time getting crowd surfed, jumping in the crowd and making sure that mosh pit energy stayed at 101%.

What makes a Lambrini Girls gig more than a gig — what turns it into an event — is that between chords and screams, there’s a message. Their songs are riddled with sharp takes on sexism, class inequality, toxic masculinity, discrimination, and social hypocrisy. In the Waterfront, this wasn’t just a performance, it became a rallying cry.

For Norwich, the arrival of Lambrini Girls marked more than a gig: it marked a moment. A moment when a touring punk act brought intensity, power, and raw emotion to a city that doesn’t always get this kind of unfiltered noise. For fans, it was a chance to be part of something rough, beautiful, and real. And for the band? Another stop on their climb — reminders that their rage resonates, their music matters, and their community grows with every screeching chord and shouting refrain.

Hearing the crowd sing back the words to “Cuntology 101” and “Big Dick Energy”, to finish the set, was a wonder to the ears. The passion being sung by everyone single person in that crowd, was magnificent.

The show at The Waterfront won’t be forgotten — the bruises, the sweat, the cheers, the chants, the sense of underground belonging will linger long after the final note faded. In Norwich, for one chaotic, electrifying night: punk lived.
