Youth Killed It – Get used to this name, because this band is going places.
Formed in 2016 in Norwich, Norfolk and with a few members replaced during the years, this band have finally found their own style and are raging forward to take over the music scene with their indie, rock and rap fusion.

With Jack Murphy up front, Joel Mullin on drums and Danny De-Ara Torres and Paul Gaul on guitars, these guys are now, independently taking on the world, one song at a time via their own imprint ‘Slow You Down Records’. A nice little ode to a good Norfolk saying, especially in that well known accent.
They have a fantastic back catalogue of music under their belt already, consisting of their debut album “Modern Bollotics” and their follow up “What’s so Great, Britain?”, as well as singles like “Up All Night” and “Lately “, which are definitely ones for your playlists.
They have had multiple plays on Radio 1 and been included in the soundtracks to BT Sports and The Great British Bake-Off. Notching up a massive 3.5 million streams on Spotify alone, the guys have only just cracked the surface with what’s to come

New Music – New Adventure
We here, have been given the honour to get out hands on the new single “Johnny Bravado”. It’s official release is the 27th June and is taken from their upcoming EP “Are You Having A Good Time? Part1”.
Powered by sharp, tight guitar riffs and a stomping mid-tempo groove, this track pulses with energy and attitude. The chant-along bridge invites audience participation, while the lyrics strike a balance between self-awareness and catchiness. Brimming with frustration and sarcasm, the song delivers a hook-laden chorus that refuses to leave your head.

“It’s about that person who seems untouchable,” says frontman Jack Murphy.
“They’ve got the car, the confidence, the swagger. I used to look at people like that and think ‘I want to be like them’. But the more you see behind it, the more you realise it’s just a front. It’s all surface. And then you start questioning why you ever wanted to do that in the first place. Deep down, they’re probably just as lost as the rest of us.”

The New Ep – Are You Having A Good Time Part 1
The 6 Track EP will roll out across three singles, each with its own music video, leading up to the full release. The title track “Are You Having A Good Time?” opens the EP and will land alongside a visual on release day. It kicks things off with a question to the listener “Are You Having A Good Time?” open to interpretation. It also features YKI fan favourites “Up All Night” and “Lately” (Remastered) which is really something to look forward to.
“It’s still got that cheeky Youth Killed It wit, but it hits harder. We focused on making guitars tighter and louder, riffs that actually stick. It’s punkier, for sure, but still weirdly accessible. There’s a track for everyone.” says Paul Gaul (Guitar), and if “Johnny Bravado” is anything to go by, we agree. Also, yes!, there will be a part 2 to this EP, and a physical release because, as the guys said themselves, “Why stop the party halfway through”.

The guys will be playing a couple of live gigs this summer including 2000 Trees Festival and Rock and Roll Circus in Norwich, alongside Mcfly, Lottery Winners and The Hoosiers.
