Snake Eyes are a Brighton-based duo carving out their place in the UK’s alternative scene with a sound that blends garage rock, gritty punk energy, and irresistible pop sensibility. Fronted by vocalist and guitarist Jim Heffy and has Thomas Coe – Brooker on the drums, the band formed in 2020 and quickly gained attention for their infectious hooks, sharp lyricism, and high-energy live presence. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Weezer, Pavement, and Blur, Snake Eyes bring a nostalgic yet fresh vibe to their music. With a string of punchy releases and growing momentum, they’re fast becoming one of the most exciting underground acts to watch.

On a warm evening in Norwich on the 11th June 2025, The Waterfront Studio, upstairs in the iconic venue, Snake Eyes played an amazing show
With local bands Amourette and Rad Pitt opening the show with outstanding force, it was time for Jim and Brooker to take to the stage.

Starting the set off with “Lean” and then jumping straight into “Jar Of Wasps”, the crowd were fully immersed already. Hearing them play their newest single, that was released on the 10th of April, really had heads and bodies moving along. The little crochet bee on the microphone stand was a sweet little touch to the plight that the guys encourage as they have collaborated with Beevive UK

Next, the band played “Another World” and then into “No Cars” which featured Josh Redrup from Palm Reader, on guitar. During the song, Jim and Brooker both went out into the crowd, singing and joining in with the atmosphere. Everyone was amped up, at this point.

On to the next part of the set where the guys played “Hug Me”, with it’s catchy chorus that had everyone joining in. Definitely a fan favourite.
Afterwards, we got treated with a spectacular run of songs, “No One Is Truly Cool”, “HDTV” and “Hottest Day On Record”. The charismatic and fun in between songs had the crowd laughing and enjoying the jokes and jesting.

The drums, with Brooker behind them, were mesmerising as he took out different feather drum sticks and made a different sound for the musical interludes.

As the set was coming to an end, “4O Winks” and “Scuttlebugs” were showcased to the audience. The gritty sounds and tight performance lighting up the room.
Lastly, ending the set was “Skeletons” and what an ending it was. Everyone singing to their catchy lyrics and intense sound, it was a fantastic finale.

Snake Eyes left fans breathless and wanting more. As the final chord rang out and the crowd roared, the band left the stage in a haze of sweat and feedback. Their raw energy and sharp hooks proved unforgettable. If this gig was any indication, Snake Eyes aren’t just rising—they’re ready to bite hard. Keep your ears peeled.
