As part of our regular feature, New Music Monday, we are going to introduce you to Foxhaunt.  Leeds-based Foxhaunt is an alternative rock band that has been pulling in small crowds since forming in 2018.  Over the past few years, through sheer will and determination, they have grown their online fanbase, performing sell-out shows at The Key Club in Leeds and other venues around the UK.

The band is a four-piece: Ollie Swift on vocals, Thom Clayton on guitar, Jamie Scott on drums, and Sam Whittle on bass.

The music consists of catchy guitar riffs, powerful drum beats, and Ollie’s vocals are something to be heard, especially his screams. They are definitely something to be experienced live.

They take their inspiration from Linkin Park, Alexisonfire, and The Story So Far, and their track “Separate Me” is one to stay on the playlist.

Another song, “Blissful Ignorance,” has a catchy chorus that will be stuck in your head for a while. The guitars and drums go hard during the breakdowns on this track. Their first song ever, “On My Mind,” from 2018, gives a taste of Thursday, with Ollie’s vocals on the chorus and Thom’s hard guitar sound. “Dirt,” Foxhaunt’s second release from 2019, has a different sound, giving off Silverstein and A Day to Remember vibes, especially the guitar breakdown after each chorus. This one is a repeater.

The songs “Trust No One” and “Open Water” give off metalcore vibes that need to be played loud, especially when Thom and Sam’s guitar work teams up with Jamie’s drum beats.

When listening to “Ghost” and “Out of Control,” you really feel the band come into their own with powerful lyrics and a heavy guitar melody. These will have you headbanging, especially during the breakdowns.

When you discover Foxhaunt’s EPs, “Mindset” and “Division Culture,” you will be hooked and looking for a live show.

They have toured with the likes of Mouth Culture, Lonely The Brave and Caskets, gaining fans as they go.

They are looking to put together a headlining tour soon so watch this space.

Their most recent releases “White Noise” and “The Daylight Between Us” have a different sound that showcases Ollie’s vocals perfectly. Still with the riffs and the drums to back it up, this band is one to be played loud and on repeat.

Even Radio 1, Planet Rock and Kerrang radio have put them on the list of ones to watch, and I would have to agree.

These guys have it!.

You can keep up to date with new releases and tour dates by following Foxhaunt on their social media accounts. Hopefully the guys will have a tour for us soon because I know, I need to see this band live.
